This book celebrates the private garden located on the North Shore of Chicago of the late Mary Ann MacLean. The garden, begun in 1990, was created as a collaboration with the landscape architect Craig Bergman. The garden displays over three hundred plant varietals joined with Asian art and architectural fragments in stone, bronze and cast iron. It was Beautifully photographed during all four seasons over the course of three years by Linda Oyama Bryan. The book includes essays by the Head Gardiner and Curator of Asian art.
